Connect

  • Help young people feel seen, heard, and less alone.
  • Encourage reaching out, for support, connection, and healing.
  • Advocate for a community that checks in and shows up.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing through presence, not isolation.

Inspire

  • Share your story to give hope when life feels heavy.
  • Show how you care for your wellbeing, you might help someone do the same.
  • Uplift others facing stress, grief, or tough times with honesty and heart.
  • Lead with courage, compassion, and resilience, your voice matters.

Empower

  • Build confidence and courage to break the stigma around mental health.
  • Encourage resilience through life’s challenges.
  • Help normalise real talk about mental health, suicide, and what it means to keep going.
  • Share lessons from mistakes, because failure is part of growth.

Our Phased Approach

  2. Phase 2Incorporate resources and tools
  3. Phase 3Support for parents & schools

Who runs YSMS

Your Story, My Story is a project of Sabrina’s Reach4Life Inc. Lidia and Michael Di Lembo founded the charity in 2018, in memory of their daughter Sabrina.

Sabrina’s Reach4Life became an incorporated association in 2019 and a registered charity in 2020. Today it is also a Public Benevolent Institution and a Deductible Gift Recipient, so gifts of $2 or more are tax deductible. Learn what that means for donors

Our Management Committee

Sabrina’s Reach4Life is run by a Management Committee rather than a board. Its members are volunteers who meet every month to set direction, look after the charity’s money and manage risk. Smaller sub-committees focus on support and referrals, advocacy and capacity building, governance and risk, and specific projects.

  • Lidia Di Lembo

Spent 20 years in the Victorian Education Department, then worked in homelessness, alcohol and other drug, and housing services in Darwin. Her own lived experience helps her understand how hard it can be for people bereaved by suicide in the NT to find support.

  • Joe De Luca

    Treasurer

A Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) with more than 35 years in senior Northern Territory and Commonwealth government roles. Joe is Lidia’s brother and has been part of the charity from the start.
